Insurance for
hazardous activities
If you are off on any other kind of activity holiday, or
you are planning to take part in some of the activities on
offer at your destination, you need to make sure that your
travel insurance will cover you. Not all policies list what
they consider to be hazardous or not hazardous so it is always
worth checking before you buy. Hazardous activities may include:
• Rugby
• Football (if playing in an organised team, not a friendly
knock-about on the beach)
• Mountaineering with ropes or guides
• Water-ski jumping
• Aquaplaning
• Paragliding
• Sub-aqua diving
• Scuba diving below a certain depth
• Pot-holing
• Hang-gliding
• Motorcycling
• Motor racing
• Professional sports
• Parachuting
• Ballooning
• Flying or gliding. |
